How to Play
- Goal: Bet on which hand—Player or Banker—will have a total closest to 9.
- Card Values: Ace = 1, 2–9 = face value, 10/J/Q/K = 0.
- Scoring: Only the last digit of the total counts (e.g., 15 = 5).
- Bets: Player, Banker, or Tie. Place your bet before cards are dealt.
- Third Card Rules: Automatic drawing rules determine whether a third card is dealt.
- Natural: If either hand totals 8 or 9 on the first two cards, no more cards are drawn.
- Payouts: Player pays 1:1, Banker pays 1:1 minus 5% commission, Tie pays 8:1.
Math & Probabilities
| Bet | RTP | House Edge | Win Probability |
|---|
| Banker | 98.94% | 1.06% | 45.86% |
| Player | 98.76% | 1.24% | 44.62% |
| Tie | 85.64% | 14.36% | 9.52% |
Banker bet is the best bet in baccarat despite the 5% commission. It wins slightly more often because the third-card rules favour the Banker hand.
Tie bet has a massive 14.36% house edge—it should be avoided.
Streaks: Tracking patterns on the scoreboard has no predictive value. Each hand is independent.
